Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-05-20
1. Agreement
By creating an account on riser.fm or using the platform to sell or buy tickets, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
"riser.fm," "we," or "us" refers to the operating entity behind the platform. "Operator" means a venue, promoter, or artist using riser.fm to sell tickets. "Buyer" means an end user purchasing a ticket through the platform.
2. Accounts
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping your credentials confidential. Operator accounts may only be created by individuals with authority to bind the venue or promotion company they represent.
3. Service
riser.fm provides ticketing infrastructure: event publishing, seat maps, checkout, door scanning, and settlement tooling. We may add, change, or remove features over time. We will give reasonable notice before retiring functionality operators depend on.
The service is provided "as is." Uptime is best-effort; planned maintenance windows will be communicated in advance where practical.
4. Payments and fees
Card processing is provided by Stripe. Buyer payments are settled directly to the operator's connected Stripe account. riser.fm charges a flat $0.75 platform fee per ticket, line-itemed on the buyer's receipt. Stripe processing fees are pass-through and shown separately.
Sales tax handling is the operator's responsibility unless explicitly delegated to riser.fm via Stripe Tax. Chargebacks and disputes flow through Stripe and are the operator's financial responsibility.
5. Refunds and cancellations
Refund policy is set per event by the operator and shown to the buyer at checkout. riser.fm processes refunds against the original payment method on the operator's instruction. We don't issue refunds on the operator's behalf without authorization.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use riser.fm to sell tickets for events that violate applicable law, infringe a third party's rights, or are fraudulent. We may suspend accounts that abuse the platform or expose buyers to harm.
7. Content and intellectual property
Operators retain ownership of the content they upload (event art, seat maps, copy). Operators grant riser.fm a license to host, display, and process that content as required to operate the service. The riser.fm platform itself, including its code, brand, and UI, remains our intellectual property.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, riser.fm is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our aggregate liability in any twelve-month period is capped at the platform fees paid by the affected party during that period.
9. Termination
Operators may close their account at any time. Outstanding ticket inventory and pending payouts will be reconciled before the account is removed. riser.fm may terminate accounts that breach these Terms, with notice where practical.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated to operators by email before they take effect.
